The Kayettes, sponsored by the Kansas High School Activities As- sociation, were very active this y e a r. Their objectivesereligion, personality, service, leadership, ap- , preciation, and recreation--were , successfully carried out in the pro- grams. School service projects of the club this year included the daily selling of candy, ice cream bars, and pencils: five-minute programs at Christmas time: two all-school TO CAMP assemblies at Thanksgiving and Easter. A Go- to-Church plan was sponsored dur- ing one Sunday in Lent. The social events included a Story Book Party to welcome new members, a Mother-Daughter tea, and a party for all eighth graders. In November nine Kayettes at- tended a conference at Minneapolis, Kansas. At this time the club re- ceived its charter and a 3,000 point award. Four girls also attended a sum- mer camp at Camp Horizon, Ar' kansas City.
