60 MARYSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL Latin Club The Senatus was organized October 26, 1915. It is based on the plan of a Roman senate and the officers are the same as those elected by the Romans. The object of the club is to promote in- terest among High School students in the study of Latin. Monthly programs are given by members of the club. One of the most interesting of these was the reproduction of the funeral of Marcus Tullius Maximus Inimicus Latinae Linguae. In addi- tion to their regular programs, the members prepared a Latin exhibit which was given during the County Teachers' meeting, held at the school building this year. Much enthusiasm is manifested at the meetings and it is ob- vious that the club is fulfilling its object. Motto- Crescat Scientiaf' Officers. Consuls .... ..........
