Teachers. Friends. and Schoolmates: The Parting has come for the Class of 1957- We have done 'the work required of us and are ready to receive our diplomas. ive are proud to be Nlary- mount graduates. but we are sorry to leave this school. It is here that we have found the true way of life leafl- ing to heaven. Vile have received a thorough Religious training which. we believe. is more essential and of greater importance than riches. honor. or fame. For these gifts and graces we are thankful to our dear Pastor and teachers. Their interests and patience. their inspirations and encouragement were never failing. To our schoolmates we are grateful for their kindness and companionship. And as we go forth to fields of greater opportunity. we will remember that learning is a light that brightens the path of success and that living your Religion is the surest wav to heaven. It was a play that started out as a comedy in our freshman year. then be- came a tragedy. as sophomores. but in the junior year it eventually changed back to its original form. and today comes to a close with a happy and perfect climax 4our senior year. And yet now that I have said the play is over I am beginning to wonder if it really is. You remember what the Immortal bard of Avon said: All the worlffs a stage, Anal all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances: Anal one man in his time plays many parts . . . If Shakespeare's words are true, then it seems the play is only starting. The pages of this memory book will introduce you to the chief performers of the play. They will be presented in a picturesque and amusing way. As a salutatorian of the Class of 1957. I beg you to enjoy the pages of this book and when the end is reached-a happy ending to a happy play-you will be pleased to have known the Class of '5T.
