CECIL STANFORD Richmond, Virginia IT is fitting and proper that the picture of Cecil Stanford should be in this issue of the Marylander. From the first time we heard her drawl NHello and then sing UPardon My Southern Accent, we knew that the class of '38 would be lacking something without our Cecil. In 1937 she assisted Captain Gelston with his riding classes, and now we look upon her with pride, for she is Assistant Riding Instructor. Perfect riding clothes, horses, anything to do with horses, 6 cherub face, a ready smile and a true friend are the words that express Cecil Stanford. She is not a Senior robed in cap and gown, but she is one of us. It will be a sad farewell indeed when the class of 1938 leaves Cecil behind.
