Stuoent Slstems The purpose of a religious vocation is to glorify Cod and to bring all men to the joy of praising Him. To do these things in their fullness, the sister must develop herself as a Whole Woman, for it is in the full-flowering of her nature that she will best sanctify herself and the world. So, this year of Iuniorate has as its goal the formation of the whole woman - spiritually, intellectually and apostolically. This development is accom- plished through intense study of the spiritual life and of aca- demic fields, competent guidance, social interaction With fellow i students, and apostolic catechetical work. At Marycrest this year, three communities of Franciscans com- mute daily from Rock Island and Clinton While two Peoria Franciscans are resident students. The Sisters of Humility have a Iuniorate which was formally established at Marycrest in the fall of 1962. Their .Iuniorate includes 29 student sisters this year. Students on campus this year include five communities of Sisters. Repre- senting their communities are Sr. Mario and Sr. james Marie, C.H.M., Sr. Mary Dismas, Sr. Mary Theresena, and Sr. Mary Margaret, O.S.F.g Sr. Angela Marie, C.H.M., and Sr. Mary Michael, O.S.F. 164
