Sophomones Dear Sophomores, This year any bubbles made of college illusions left over from freshman year quickly popped out of existence. No longer the youngest members of this college community, the going seemed to get rougher for us. VVe made it though, rising above great expectations. YVith your cooperation, encouragement and sup- port, the sophomore class projects met success after success-a sophomore queen for Homecoming and Mardi Gras, lots of fun at Anchors Awayv and A Review of Renownf and finding out W'HAT MAISIE KNEVV and how James finally got TO THE LIGHT- HOUSE. WVith guidance from upper classmen and faculty members we learned that it isn't the students versus the faculty, but rather the students and faculty work- ing together for a common goal. Also it was our turn to talce the other side of the guidance system by becoming big sisters to the class of '67. Read between the lines for your specull memories. But don't forget the most important one of all. This year, just as each of the four years spent at Mary- crest is another rung in the ladder of life and itls a step of golden opportunity? We,oe done well this year but it gets more difficult as we approach the top, Take advantage of these days to do the best you can for yourself-for your world. Lots of luck, SUE FARRELL I Sophomore class presidentj Planning for the spring prom are sophomore class officers Pat McLaughlin, vice-presidentg Sue Farrell, presidentg Nancy Kearney, secretaryg Sandy Dye, treasurerg and Mary Lee Lamps-, resident student representative. Not shown is lane Mumey, day student representative. -sg,
