Gumno the fmst quamgen Centuny . TIME unmeasured yet measured by man in fine grains of sand winds its endless course to Eternity. One by one the sands mark off the seconds and minutes and days and years and eras. Possibly, somewhere between grain number five hundred billion one and two thousand billion one, began the college known to us as Marycrest. Fruitfully dedicated to religion and education for one quarter of a century, she has nurtured the many young women who have grown with her and because of her. As the sands continue to sift gently through, Marycrest continues to grow. By this very growth she has developed the timeless spirit of Marycrest, transcending the borders of time itself. Bishop Rohlman breaks ground for the Liberal Arts Building. 1939-Two buildings only, Petersen Hall and Liberal Arts 6

founoeris Cay. TIME and again we hear and use the phrase the spirit of Maryerestf' It is manifested in tho.se who are a part of the college. There was a time when Maryerest was just a uspiritv and then lneeame reality only through hard work and long hours of devotion. Each year on the feast of the Holy Rosary we are reminded of her founding and her foundress. This silver anniversary year, special trihute was paid to the wonderful friends of our foundress. Mother Mary Geraldine, now to many only a name, is to others forever a model and guide.
