It ' s Academic The purpose of the International Relations Club is to further an inter- est in and a knowledge of past and present international affairs. Throughout the year they sponsor guest speakers, a Forum and a mock Security Council. INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS CLUB: Sigrid Skrivseth, Debbie Rutledge, Barvara Balough, Sarah Kosak, Suzanne Gisler, Sue Sokolski, Lee Ann Malott, Richard Ehrie, Robert Metzier, Anne Reed, Becky Shoner, Terri Rodden, David Minor. The Histroy Club was founded three years ago in order to promote an interest in the Department. In these past three years, the Club has enjoyed much success in its various projects, such as the annual fall get-acquainted reception for new students. Other projects in- clude field trips to nearby Washing- ton, D.C. and Richmond, and an an- nual keg party. An active and en- thusiastic membership ensures con- tinued success in the future of the History Club.

The purpose of the Anthropological Society is to en- courage and promote interest in Anthropology by spon- soring activities which provide knowledge of the field. The activities of the American Chemical Society in- clude on annual magic show which is put on for parents weekend, goggle sales, and social events such as Christ- mas celebrations, wine and cheese parties and picnics. ACS members also make free tutoring sessions availabe every week to all chemistry students. The Mary Washing- ton Chapter also sponsors in November, an annual con- ference of the American Chemical Society for all chap- ters in its region of Virginia.
