The Afro-American Association, whose purpose is to stimulate inter- est in Black Culture, is an active or- ganization on the Mary Washington Campus. They co-sponsor the Tal- ent Show during Family Weekend and sponsor the Wo-Man contest, which is a womanless beauty pa- gent. They also sponsor Black Cul- ture Week which is held in February. The A. A. A. also participates in the annual Club Carnival, Christmas Ba- zaar and Alumni Homecoming. AFRO-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION: Jesse Forbes, Frances Joy Hall, Kimberly Poindexter, Louise Cle- mente, Wilhelmena Lee, Allison Sweatt, Soralyn Bowling, Michele Hammock, Susan Amith, Chrystal Holley, Arthea Edwards, Angelia Allen, Mabel Royal, Princess Moss, Benita Echols, Delois Branson, Harolyn Berry, Allen Lindsay, Lesley Price, Verna Williams, Audrey Poindexter, Alisa Mondrey. The purpose of the Ecology Club is to seek information about our en- viornment and to encourage an ac- tive interest and participation in its maintenance and improvement, and to maintain an active relation- ship with the Fredericksburg com- munity. The Ecology Club sponsors a weekly Collection drive, a plant sale, speakers and wildlife movies. They also help to sponsor people in other activities on the college cam- pus.
