For weeks, the seventh grade - 38 both pupils and teachers - made planq read books, gathered materials and drew sketches. Indian lore seemed to come to life during the months of October and November. It was 1615, not 1952. The crowning moments of achieve- ment and reward came on Parents' Night, November 12, 1952, when the mural and its associated displays were proudly unveiled for all to see.
