Student Sthuol Council Student Spiritual Council is the organization which guides and brings enriching spiritual activities to the students of Mary Manse. The membership consists of all full-time Catholic students enrolled at the college. The policy-making body is the Central Board com- posed of the moderator, Sister Mary Kathleen, offi- cers, and committee chairmen from the various classes. In fulfilling personal sanctificotion of each individual, S.S.C. has acquired its newest duty of the organiza- tion and execution of the retreat plans for the entire student body. S.S.C. Orchestra The Music Department of Mary Manse could well be pleased with the achievements of the Orchestra during the past year. Com- posed of members from all classes, the group played at the lnvestiture ceremony in October and the Christmas concert in which they were combined with the Choir. They also provided the music at the President's Convo- cation in November. The highlight of the year was the graduation exercises where such favorites as uPomp and Circumstance ushered the newly graduated women. 89

National Federation of Catholic College Students The student body of Mary Manse College is enrolled in the National Federation of Catholic College Students. This organization unites the Catholic colleges to further Chris- tian apostolic work. During the past summer the delegation attended the national con- vention in Cincinnati, Ohio. The knowledge brought back has been put into practical use. It was influential with the Father Beit- ing Appalachia proiect conducted during the Christmas season by the student body. Departing for a regional NF convention are Christine Klocinski, Kathryn Harrison and Rose Ann Pruszynski.
