Rev. James B. Sullivan, Ph.D. Department Head Rev. Robert Murphy, A.M. Theology Rev. Robert Armstrong, A.B. Theology Rev. Loren McClunahcn, A.B. Philosophy The intellectual life of the Mary Manse student can be enriched with her study of theology and philosophy. The theology de- partment took on new form by offering courses based on the documents of Vatican II, as well as courses based on the Bible. The philosophy department broadened its scope with a course in contemporary philosophy which emphasized dialectical materialism, logical positivism, phenomenology, and existentialism. Among their varied duties, associate librarians, Genevieve Ludwig, A.B.; Hildegurde Michel, A.B.; and Helen Alexander, A.M.; helped students find research materials in the fields of theology and philosophy.
