Music Gifted, dedicated teachers, under the chairmanship of Sister Mary Regina, and their fledgling students characterize the Music Department at Mary Manse. The department has been further enhanced by numerous excellent performances presented by the choir and the orchestra. Both organizations, comprised of talented students, have increased in numbers as well as stature. Under the direction of Mr. David Carter, the choir performed at these campus functions: lnvestiture, the President's Convocation on Founder's Day, the Christmas concert, the spring concert and class day, plus entertaining twice on television. The orchestra under the direction of Sister Mary Cormencita also per- formed at these campus functions and this year received a coveted seat on Student Council. Sister Mary Regina, M.E. Sister Mary Georgianna, A.M. Sister June Catherine, M.A.E. Fine Arts Fine Arts Fine Arts The Department of Fine Arts offered notable opportunities for the study and appreciation of art. These opportunities were enhanced by the proximity of Toledo's magnificent museum. A wide variety of studio classes challenged the creative expression of the art students. The annual uArt Show held near the culmination of the school year establishes a visual dialogue between art students and their classmates, their parents and their friends. This dialogue strengthened the rapport between students, college, art, and society. Under the direction of Sister Mary Charles, the Speech and Drama division of the Fine Arts Department at Mary Manse has grown in size in the last three years. With courses in Platform Speaking, Speech Correction, Drama, Play Production, Television, and Radio, the Division has given its students an opportunity to develop their talents and broaden their experience in the world of speech and drama.
