Players stage classic Mary Manse College Players, under the direction of Mother Mary Charles, presented Ruth Sergel's version of Lute Song, a Chinese classic Written in the fifteenth century by Kao-Tong-Kia. This drama in three acts is a romantic presentation depicting the anguish of a young scholar of the middle class who is forced into a royal marriage. Ned Coyle played the Young Scholar and Peg McDonald, the wife of common birth. Thomas Galvin enacted the part of the Prince and Paulette Westrup, the Princess. Gary Buerk and Mary Borer took the roles of the Elder Magistrate and his Wife. Mr. Robert Yaekel, a member of the English Depart- ment, portrayed the Advisor of the Village. Men from Toledo University assisted the Mary Manse students in the cast which numbered forty.
