French French The Speech and Drama Department and the Depart- ment of Modern Languages play important roles in the development of the art of oral communication. Two year's study of a modern language or the -equivalent are requisite to a Bachelor of Arts degree. To fulfill this need, the Department of Modern Languages of- fers French, Spanish, and German. To facilitate study, a modern thirty-four booth language laboratory offers its services. The Speech and Drama Department offers a rich variety of courses intended to give a firm ground- work in the iields of drama and public speaking. The Department also offers courses in the Held of speech correction, and special classes in auditory training and therapy for children and adults having speech or audi- tory handicaps.
