Young Dem members seek ways to carry out the ideals of our late President John F. Kennedy. 'Ex Members cheer Humphrey's arrival. Young Dems Since 1964 was a presidential election year, the Young Democrat's Club was busy campaigning for L. B. President, Sue Falkowskig Vice President, Annette Rawski and Secretary-treasurer, Cathy Bur- nard integrated the activities of the Mary Manse Club with those of Toledo University and the Lucas County Young Democrat's Club. The outstanding activity of the year was the car caravan and rally for Hubert Humphrey sponsored by the Ohio Federation of College Young Demo- crat's. After the carvan from the airport to the Uni- versity Field House, Senator Humphrey presented his address.

Members of Current Events Club discuss crisis areas of the world, such as Viet Nam. Current Even ts Activity is the byword for the Current Events Club this year. The year began with a combined assembly of three major clubs followed by a swim P9-YtY- Election interests filled October so the Club Mem- bers campaigned, monitored elections, and counted votes for the Mock Election held on campus. Topics such as foreign aid, disarmament, Kruschev's fall, filled first semester meetings. Current Events also took part in the Great Decisions program in which topics such as Vietnam, Communist China were dis- cussed. Humanities Humanities Club functions with the purpose of providing activities for those interested in the arts. Under the direction of the moderator, Miss Ioan Hill, this organization offers to Mary Manse st11- dents opportunities for enlightenment in literature, art, drama, and music. Interest in these fields is broadened by trips to the Toledo Museum of Art, presentation of guest speakers, and trips throughout the Toledo area to take advantage of the various dramatic and musical presentations staged. The Humanities Club sponsored a paperback book mobile on campus again this year.
