Qgnfe CW7tZyf1ZA'v',C.Ml5f!ldlQ2'il. . . Each Tuesday afternoon at 3:l5 P. M., a group of ambitious artists known to one and all as the Magnets of The Mary Louis Academy, meet in the Art room and, under the careful guidance of their moderator, Sister Saint Ge- nevieve, discuss the art projects for the term. Be it an entry for the annual Tablet con- tests or a poster announcing the forthcoming event, the Magnets are always, ready, willing and able , to lend their talents to worthwhile projects, Their colorful posters crowd the halls and bulletin boards for others to admire and enjoy. At GO. election time, for example T.M.L.A. is buried under , with huge, gaily colored posters appealing to the artistic sense of the voter. A boundless amount of energy and a flair for art plus countless hours of hard work make up the typical Magnet. A familiar cry among these girls is, I have to make a poster this week , for the quota of each Magnet is set at eight posters a term. The reward for these talented girls is two- fold: an inner satisfaction that comes from delighting others, and a feeling of pride in sporting a small gold palette with the name Magnets , engraved upon it. Using the statue of the Blessed Virgin as a model, the officers of the Magnets plan future posters.
