Stenz THE GENESIANS Although the Genesians have as their chief aim and objective the discovery and development of whatever dramatic talent awaits direction to and on the stage, they pride themselves in the fact that they can recognize the theater is not confined to acting. To indicate this broader understanding of the theatrical challenge, many of their members oc- cupy themselves with the details of mounting productions, they plan, build and decorate the sets. Others handle the demand for effective lighting, meet the script specifications for sound, design costumes, or do the necessary make-up. At any rate, the contributions of the crew are never underestimated by the cast: the Genesians do not aim solely at good performances but likewise at good productions. The former was given at two public perfor- mances while the latter was presented during a school assembly in honor of Saint Patrick. ln the interim, the Genesians attended the play fes- tival of the Catholic Theater Conference, witnessed two well-staged Henri Gheon plays at Fordham University, toured the facilities of WFUV, and saw the Blackfriar's production of Praise of Folly .
