Pro Fido The Propagation of the Faith Unit has heen estahlislned in our school in order to fulfill a two fold purposefthe spiritual and temporal welfare of Catholic missions at hottie and ahroad. The spiritual end is attained hy our prayers and personal sae- rificcs. ln order to attain tlte temporal end the weekly collection has heen inaugurated and the Mission Cluh formed. This eluh is divided into four groups namely, the Magazine, the Stamp, the Sewing and tho Religious Articles Committees. Magazines are sent to cnahle new eon- verts and those interested in the Catholic Church to acquire a greater understanding and knowledge of the faith while the sale of stamps has greatly increased tlte materi- al lot of the missionaries and their charges. The priests earry out their religious cere- monies and devotions in a more perfect manner hecause of the contrihutiolts of al- Tahernacle veils, ciborium covers, altar linens, seap- ulars rosaries, even book marks keep many willing lingers husy through the year, as these loyal workers will vouch: Standing: E. The drives at Thanks- giving and Christmas make these holidays more joyful for the recipients of our dona- tions. The whole-hearted support of the stu- dent hody during tlte past year has helped the Propagation of the Faith to attain more fully its two-fold purpose. Each and every one who made something this year is happy in the joy of aceomplislunent. Junior Red ross hapter of'f .... Foremost among the aims of the Junior Red Cross Chapter of T.M.L.A. is the desire to help all those less fortunate than we. Meeting at 3:10 every Wednesday afternoon in 117, we prepared a Red Cross Chest for needy children of foreign countries, sent gifts to cihldren's and veteran's hospitals and discussed various topics concern- ing Red Cross activities. Filling Red Cross stockings for children is looked forward to by all. Our home economies department made nightgowns and our memhers 160 dressed dolls which were sent to childrcn's cen- ters at Christmas time last year. This past term we have also entered the lntcrnational Art Pro- gram which has for its purpose the promoting of good will among nations. Under the capallle leadership of our officers: Kathryn Tucker, Presidentg ,loan Rowley, Sce- retary and Maureen Fitzgerald, Treasurer, the term is closing very successfully. lVon't you join us next term?
