StatueS of Oua Yealls Sugart lhlnk ff M. Libbon Qlaifzgzzffafz cv fffe Cya ffff HE Society for the Propagation of the Faith at T, M. L. A. during the past year has tried to answer the appeal of the Holy Father to help spread the King- dom of Christ among other people. The outstanding achievements were the erec- tion of the Madonna Chapel and the Mission Exhibit of complete Chapel fur- nishings, including a complete set of altar linens handmade by the students. The Chapel will be erected in the Central Luzon Leprosarium, Novaliches, Philip- pine lslands. The annual donations of dues, gifts, and Lenten Mite Box offer- ings were sent to the Diocesan Office for the Holy Father's Mission Chest. The routine home missionary work of collect- ing stamps, drugs, medicines, bandages, of shipping textbooks and religious arti- cles went forward each week with great enthusiasm. The students of Mary Louis can be justly proud of their record of doing their best for the best cause in the world - the salvation of souls. lamp' awww pe. d Sain! loselillless Sulplllleiefdo DY I Lady an pw of canefgm disD SY ost9n3orleAl:2iYthl32k will Heuethef an imen' J' Hra 1 ' J. We are proud to say that through its action, our basketball team has won every game it has played this season. We are justly proud of our spicy cheerlead- ers, They really put pep into their cheers and they inject so much enthusiasm into the squad that their cheers are both loud and long. But after all, how could we lose with a combina- tion like them and our alert guardsg Jean Schmitt, Edith Pinnegar, Bernice Harvey, and Doris Ledden, and our superb forwards, Fran- ces Keating, Ann Rossiter, Pat Franklin and Dolores Gerard. Our captain, Jean Schmitt, keeps the team in A-l form . . . she plays as 33:9 if she has springs in her shoes. Our new guard, Barbara Sommer, plus our new forward, Bar- bara Hawke equal two promising athletes, THEY are the foundation of our future varsity. The success that we enjoy is largely due to the remarkable direction of our faithful coach, Miss Claire Worzberger, Sister Francis Mar- guerite's supervision encourages us to do our best, always, We'll never forget that wonder- ful sports night, because the super pictures that were taken will forever remind us of the best time we ever had. The Jay-Vee and the Varsity owe a vote of thanks to Marilyn Hig- gins and Coaina Gartlan because without their contribution we could never attempt to play- TIME and SCORES being SOOOO important!!! - EDlTH PINNEGAR '47
