Backstroke, man, backstroke. 10 Surrounded by this gathering of mountains, we come, people who gather with so much to offer. by chance thrown together, given a hundred years of tradition and the opportunity to sculpt our ideal self-we, sometimes divided, always different still collectively a whole, and generality in the face of time — muddle along, making the tradition our own, adding ourselves to it, perpetuating and changing it, living this time here given us. n Speculation arises as the day draws near. Only the Sophomores however, know when it will be. Finally one day, during an uninteresting dinner, the news is broken amidst whistles and cheers, as members of the Sophomore class, dressed as Apples, run wildly about proclaiming that tomorrow is APPLE DAY!!! The following day will be one filled with fun, games, apple cider and can- died apples. The philosophy paper can now wait; and anyway, I hadn ' t really studied for calculus.
