The annual is one of the best loved publications which a school edits. It is a reminder in later years of our friends and ourselves; at play, in activities, and yes — even at work. The first annual at Mary Baldwin was quite different from that of today, Published in 1891, The Augusta Seminary Annual made its deb ut. Al first, only literary articles were admitted, which were written in French and ( lerman, as well as in English. When the name of our alma mater was changed to Mary Baldwin Seminary, the annual was also stylized and became The Annual of the Man Baldwin Seminary. L ' p until this time, Eng- lish teachers edited the yearbook, but with the new changes, a student took over this responsibility. In 1899, the annual received a third title, The Mary Baldwin Souvenir, which was the first publication of this sort with a stiff cover, regular photographs, original art work and a dedication. After alternating between The Bluestocking and Baldwins, Mary Baldwin, in 1902, finally adopted Tin-. Bluestocking for her yearbook title.
