In these days of separation, our minds and hearts are always with the boys and men who are fighting our battles in the air, in many lands, and on far seas. Since they cannot be with us to share the happiness of our college years, our thoughts bring them to us across the reaches of time and space and their names are in- scribed in our hearts. (yi£ii)tyuL Mary Baldwin enters her second century proudly and confidently, although in the midst of a world conflict. She has survived four other wars and has always remem- bered her motto: Non pro tempore sed aeternitate; We feel that in the Bluestocking of 1943 we should record something of the fighting spirit presented in the all-out war effort of both the students and faculty. We prophesy a future as bright and as full of accomplish- ment as has been characteristic of the past.
