We gays 'ffl- The Boys' Hi-Y started the school year of 1944-45 with eight members. After an elec- tion that put Bobby Gravely in the driverls seat as president, and Bo Lester as assistant driver in tl1e capacity of vice president, the records were entrusted to Carlton Fleming as secretary and disbursements and receipts of money were turned over to XY. Ll. Geisler as treasurer. Mr. Brown was elected our sponsor. Immediately new members were sought and now we have twenty-one, some of whom will carry on i11to the school year of 1945-46 the high ideals that the Hi-Y is founded ong others will carry these same ideals into colleges and battlefields. The new members for 1944-45 did not get their share of the initiation that was enjoyed by members of 1943-44, but undaunted, the Hi-Y carried on, attending churches in a body with the Girls, Hi-Y and trying to exemplify before other students the worthy foundations of Hi-Y. This year's Hi-Y wishes to leave to all mem- bers, faculty, and students the remembrance of its presence and hopes that the school has profited by that presence. l27l .D -w,.
