Of icem FRANK GRAVELY President BOBBY WALKER Vice-President ELENA MORE TAYLOR Secretary DUDLEY SMITH Treasurer e are vmiom E begin to wonder, now that spring is almost over, if every year is going to be the best you've ever had . Football was important to us all fall: winter was a time for basketball and busying ourselves with an activity or two, spring was the most delightful time of the year. We added Maggie Mae Martin, Gloria Oakley, and Sallie Ruth Self to the roll of good scholars and swelled the football roll to the tune of iourteene-fall good players, too. Taking heed from last year's Iuniors, we elected a lunior Council of sixteen students whose duty it is to settle all business affairs of the class before they are presented to the class for its approval. This council has been very successful in its work. Five chapel programs were given by our class this year, their themes having sounded the spirit of America and our pride in our country. And to show our efforts for the United States' welfare, we copped the top ranking position in the purchase of war stamps and bonds. We'll always remember Iunior Martin as the auctioneer at the big bond sale which our high school conducted last fall in our auditorium. Next year we shall be Seniors, with the hope that we will be the best Senior class yet. i217
