Owcem TOM CARTER President DORIS LESTER Vice-President IN EZ LESTER Secretary MARY BETH REED Treasurer endow CALM ENIORSI What a wonderful feeling and yet a rather sad one too. This has been the happiest and busiest year in our career. September second, fifty-four Seniors gathered in their homerooms proud and rather skeptical, for we had new sponsors-fMiss Sara Cline and Miss Alle-ne Overbey. The year seemed to fly-fethe magazine campaign, Book Week, Mid- term exams, the essay contest in which lohn Huffaker and Daphne liouchins won prizes, and Senior play! No one could forget the play, LENA RIVERS. April I6 found Olivia Meade as Lena and Ishmael Cook as Durward in their complicated love affair, and Mary Beth Reed became a darling old Granny Nichols. These were ably assisted by Mary Morgan, lane Stultz, Mary T. Parrish, Inez Lester, Tom Carter, Iohn Huffaker, Blaine Wood, Fred Rush, and of course, Billy loe Franklin as Caesar and lack Lester as Aunt Millie. Then Senior Day came with its suckers, bow ribbons, and skates. What fun we did have! Now it's exam time. What a rush to get out our invitations for graduation and all the last minute work done! Sunday Night, May 30, found Dr. Reed delivering the Baccalaureate Address and commencement found Elsie Minter and May Hooker carry- ing the honors. So--May 31 brought graduation, the end of year, and the time of farewells--au revoirl C133
