Of special importance has been the necessity of continuing lVl. C. l-l. S. on the accredited lists of the North Central Association. the State Department of Public ln- struction, and the University of Illinois. Certain recommendations for improvements have gained the full cooperation of this group of men. Through the trying days of the emergency this board has met the difficult problems of teacher replacement. shortage in materials, and schedule disruptions. with an interest which insures this community of high educational opportunities. BLUE STREAK STAFF With the curtailment of class income because of a variety of uncontrollable factors, the stall' of this year's Blue Streak has had the unenviable task of re- ducing expenditures by limiting the number of pages, and by continuing policies in keeping with our limited facilities for Hnancing Senior projects. Early in the fall the Senior class voted by secret ballot and elected Jane Snavely Editor-in-Chief: Bette Copeland, Organizations Editor: Bill Patchett, Competition Editor: Betty Bennett, Features Editor: and Betty Jane Laingor. Staff Photographer. The Staff appointed Audrey Ax Business Manager, and Ruthanne Thompson Typist. The Senior sponsors, Miss Meier and Mr. Hurst. directed the staff work. The Blue Streak 7
