SENIORS This year's yearbook includes the photos of thirty-five members of the Class of '42, Four of that numberQJim Zachary, Catherine Munch, Dale Hutchens, and Lucille Smith-withdrew from school early in the year. Three students, Betty Denehie, K. G. Hardway and John Eggleston, were additions to the class this year. The leadership of the group has varied widely during its four years here. Its sponsors have included Miss Balmer and Mr. Bostic, Miss Gallatin and Mr. Case. Mrs. Galbreath and Mr. Powers. and Miss Meier and Mr. Hurst. Its presidents have included Bette Copeland, Sidney Blankenbaker, Ernie Mont- gomery, and Betty Bennett, Other offices have included Lowell Stricklett, J. D. Elmore, Henrietta Kannmacher, John McNurlan, Audrey Ax, and Jane Snavely. Besides the personnel changes already mentioned, the group has varied be- cause of the addition at some time during the years of Donna and Robert Welch. and because of the withdrawals of John McNurlan, Lorring Lee Perisho, Sidney Blankenbaker. Donna and Robert Welch. Vern Cooper, Roy Tingley, James Seaton, Billy Garver, Helen Gallatin, Joeanna Sharp, Ernest Weir, Juanita Hall, and Jesse Bowen.
