PURPOSE: To create, maintain, and extend throughout the home, school, and community a high standard of Christian character. ACTIVITIES: 1. In December 1955, the Hi-Y Club sponsored its annual Miss Hi-Y contest. Neva Gail Sharpe was crowned Miss Hi-Y XIX. 2. Sent representatives to Jackson's Mill confe.rence. 3. Members are sent to Camp Horseshoe. 4. Have swimming parties and hay rides. 5. Helps to organize new Hi-Y clubs. 6. Have initiation of new mem- bers. 7. Go to church with Tri H1 Y members. Neva Gael Sharpe, junior, was crowned Miss Hi-Y XIX at the formal dance held Saturday, Dec. 10 in the MHS gym. A browneyed bru- nette, she is five feet four and a half inches tall. She is president of the Latin Club, secretary of the Library Club and a member of Tri- Hi-Y, FTA and Sub Debs, John Stanley, Harvey LeMaster and Richard Elliott were her sponsors. The aspirants for the co- veted title this year were: Ruth Ann Hensel, Nancy Gregory, Dale Rhinaman, Beverly Gaile James, Queen Neva Gael Sharpe. Susie Miller. Joyce Rockwell. Sandra Sullivan, and Jeanie Tal- bott M I tiff, Steve Everhart, and George Hollida.
