Our Town. Our School . . . the Ferrian staff has chosen this as the theme for the l958 Fer- rian. The standards of a school are determined hy the town in which that school is located. With this in mind. we wish to pay trilrute to some of those aspects of our town which have helped make our school one of the finest in the state. Martins Ferry is located in the southeastern part of Ohio. on the hank of the Beautiful Ohio. One of the oldest towns in Uhio. Our town offers its citizens. young and old. lxcau- tiful churches, modern and traditional homes. ex- cellent recreational facilities. and opportunities for social development. We are proud of our school: in sports. in scholarship. and in the production of fine citi- zens. It is the purpose of this hook to give the reader a more complete appreciation of what our town and our school has to offer for its vouth.
