CLASS PROPHECY The year is 1965 and for 11 years I have been a housewife. Like most housewives I get bored with the daily routine soI've decided to try my luck at a contest for the most original pie recipe. It was so original! ! the judges really got a charge out of it. Ut blew up.j For my ATOMIC Peach Pie I was awarded a trip around the world. I was delighted because I knew at last Iwould have a chance to see my old classmates of 54 from M. V. B. To begin my trip I boarded a jet at La Guardia Airport and much to my surprise the pilot was John W. I guess those Hot Rods weren't fast enough so he took to flying. In approximately an hour I arrived at Paris, France. Deciding to go window shopping who should be seen modeling a latest Paris creation but Judy D. She really looked chic!! After chatting a few moments we decided to take in a show at La Palace. Recognizing one of the chorus girls I asked Judy and she told me it was Jane L. Jane sure gets a KICK out of her job. We decided to have lunch at a small cafe where I met her husband,Bill C., of course! In asking him what his education at M. V. B.had done for him he told me he was the Secretary to the Treasurer of the Ambassador to Serbia. In a few hours I boarded a plane to Egypt. Here Ivisited one of the Maharajahs. Whom should I see in his harem but Eleanor B. We knew she would wiggle her way to fame some day. Soon it was time for me to be on my way again. Along the way I met one of my closest friends from M. V. B. whom I had lost contact with some time ago. While talking with her, she informed me that she had been unable to get a husband in the U. S. At present she was touring Europe in search of a man, Any Man It was none other than Betty B. lwished her lots of luck in her search for love. lheard byway ofthe grapevine in Italy that my classmate,Mike S.was the owner of the Pizza Pie restaurant. Beinga great lover of pizza I went there to order one. Asl entered the building he could be heard singing That's Amore . It sure brought back some memories. Soon I was on my way toNepal. Where! visited Dwarika Ram Bhagat who had visited our school for two weeks in January of 1954. He was very well and we spent a pleasant day visiting. Since I was so close to Indial decided to stop and see if any of my classmates were there. Sure enough! Upon entering the city of Calcutta, I found Pat M., one of the city's leading lawyers. We know from her interest in Mr. Acker's law class that she would be a lawyer. From India I decided to go to Australia where by chancel might meet one of my classmates. Coming into the harbor, who should I see but Bill F. When I asked what he was doing way down under , he told me the Coast Guard had sent him down to guard all the native girls. Recalling when we were in high school, he wanted to be an Admiral not an Admirer! Having said farewell to Bill I was off to China. As soon as I got off the ship I sensed the smell of a bakery. Following the smell led me to a little bakery owned by none other than Marna S., according to the sign outside. Ithought I might go in to buy something and visit Mama at the same time. As Ientered, she was standing behind the counter. She didn't recognize me at first, but after giving her a few hints, she finally guessed my identity. Mama told me that she had forty such establishments all over the world. Iwas amazed at how she could possibly run such an establishment by herself. Just as Iwas leaving, I turned to say goodby and who should be standing in the kitchen doorway but Danne M. He had been working for Marna for about eight years. Who would have dream- ed he would be a baker! I certainly have been enjoying myself so far! Once again I boarded an ocean liner and was off for Hawaii. Days at sea were wonderful but they ended too soon. Reservations had been made for me at a fine resort at Waikiki Beach for a period of three days, then back to the states and back to my housework! fWe1l anyway, it's better than homeworkg While at the resort I learned that the guest singer featured for the dances was Miss Sally M. That name sounded very familiar. Iinquired at the desk and learned that she had come to Hawaii with her Coast Guard husband and had been hired as a singer there. Her husband, of course, was Wayne H. Hawaii had just become a state and the Coast Guard had assigned his unit to protect the new capital which was located on the coast. My three days were soon over and Iwas off for the United States and Home. After boarding the plane, the stewardess helped me to my seat. As we walked to the seat I noticed the stares of several men. Glancing again to find the cause of this, I recognized the stewardess as Alice H. Those lucky people! I asked her how she liked the high altitudes and she said that since she had met Chee -Chee she had been flying high! I I finally arrived back at La Guardia and called a taxi to take me to my home. Who do you think the taxi driver was? I know you can't guess so I'll tell you. It was Eddie S. I talked to him for a few minutes and asked why he was driving a taxi in New York City and he said that he was working his way through medical school. I guess he was trying to get some patients. Those New York taxi drivers you know! I I finally arrived home and it was the best feeling I had experienced in a long time. While watching TV that eveningl tuned in the wrestling. It was a championship bout. As the winner was brought to the center of the ring I recognized HER to be none other than Viola V. I was surprised and happy to see my old chum from M. V. B. as the champion woman wrestler of the world. Well, it was a long and tiring trip but I enjoyed it very much. Iwas glad that I could once again see all my old classmates and recall old memories.
