Gymnastics is one of the most de- manding types of competition, and this year's Gymnastics Team trained hard for its nine meet season. Team members specialize on several pieces of apparatus, such as the high bar, parallel bars, still rings, vaulting, and the pommel horse. Van Buren's Boys' Varsity Bowling Team engages in intramural competi- tion with various high schools. lVlr. Robinson, who has been coaching the team for nine years, and Captain Larry Rosenthal led the team through an un- defeated season, finishing with an un- tarnished 8-O record, winning first place in their division of the P.S.A.L. and second place in all of Queens.
