But the most impor- tant ingredient -the one that is behind all the pictures, pa- per, and ink- is love, the kind of love that brings loyalty and respect and the final push when our bones are too weary . This year the Boys' Basketball Team had a fine season culminating in a game against Hillcrest High at Madison Square Garden. Although Van Buren was defeated, it was an experience the members of the 5 2 BOY'S BAS KETBALL team, and the coach, lVlr. Ridloff, will never forget. Another dimension of the basketball season was added by the cheerleaders, their support to the Vee Bees. With two Hillcrest defensemen in hot pursuit Mitch Walker drives toward the net
