Their many meetings include dis- cussions on various topics such as Soviet Jewry, Israel, and customs and ceremonies. ln a program open to all, Alan Lucas and Asher Ostrin were in- vited to give a talk on their experi- ences upon visiting the Soviet Union. The program included slides, pass- ports, and vivid descriptions of their adventures behind the Iron Curtain. .sl The goal of the Black Awareness Club is to present a positive view of Blacks in our school. The club also gives Black students an opportunity to express their views and become in- volved in extra-curricular activities. Among languages used by it's members are RPG, CO- BOL, FORTRAN, and PLX1. pr- ek. We knead you! says the Bread Baking Club. By taking dough and punching, beating and absolutely kill- ing it, the students can get rid of their frustrations while learning gourmet methods of baking bread. Roll lt! is often heard at the Film Honor Society's meetings, where stu- dents discuss the various aspects of cinematography. Under the guidance of theirfaculty advisor, Mr. Gerard Co- hen, the students view many films during the year in an effort to learn the many facets of film making. The ultimate goal is the production of their own film from the original story- boards to the final editing. The Poster Club is a group of stu- dents who make posters for the pur- poses of advertising school events. Students in this club not only get a chance to improve their art skills, but they gain experience in advertising techniques and mass communication.
