, . 2' lJEUIlIAlIUN It is with great appreciation and respect that the editors of FUTURA wish to dedicate this issue to Mr. Joseph Cascio. Although Mr. Cascio ended his tenure with FUTURA last year, he was always willing to help out and advise us as we put the book together, giving his best. Last year marked his twenty-eighth as yearbook advisor in many schools, and so he had great resources to draw from in assisting us. Also, as chairman of the Art Department, he has lent inspiration to many young artists and has never ceased to give the most he had in instructing them. UUR THEM For some reason or another people are always fas- cinated by the sight of new construction, and stop to look through peep-holes designed to satisfy their curi- osity. During the last three years the people of Queens have been doing iust that, as the World's Fair went up in Flushing Meadow Park. The myriad buildings and exhibits have inspired artists, poets, advertising men, and yearbook editors. Although President Kennedy died tragically and many small wars have broken out all over the world this past year, we feel that the most important thing to be remembered and achieved by our class is peace through understanding, a foremost goal of President Kennedy's and the theme of the N.Y. World's Fair.
