We are upon the threshold of decision and accomplishment, yet our path seems blocked by uncertainty and unfamiliarity. Despite our confusion, we are all capable of discovering and accepting our respective positions in the world of today. ln order to do this we must realize that society is ever-changing. After all, life itself is a fluid motion: an unending process of changing conditions so essential in the development of mankind. Depressions, recessions, inflation, deflation-all are phases of our changing society. Success, failure, deiection, elation-all are highlights of the growth from adolescent youth to adulthood, Just as a nation struggles before progress- ing, the inexperienced adolescent similarly plods through the pitfalls of society before successfully taking his place in it. As we graduate from high school, we are uncertain and doubtful. Many of us feel unprepared for the complexities of our changing society. We find that as adolescents we were somewhat isolated from the dynamic world around us. We question our ability as determiners of the fate of our nation. But we can and will succeed by remaining obiective at all times, by continuing our search for knowledge, and by using past experiences to guide our futures so that we may change and mature with society.
