M X .1 A. .S -frm if. M M. 4 I , X .Q H f The city of Pulaski has its influence on Martin and thus on the students. It is a town with a rich historical background. During the Civil War, Pulaski was the site of many incidents, one of which was the hanging of the Confederate hero, Sam Davis. The original Ku Klux Klan was organized here on December 24, l865. Giles County has furnished the State of Tennessee with three governors. Pulaski today is an industrious, prosperous community located in the land of milk and honey . With graduation we come to the end of another year at Martin. The campus is deserted ...... benches empty, classrooms void of life. With finals over and graduation completed, the students spill out from the campus to a variety of places and activities. Some leave for work for the summer -- some for lite. For many now is the time to relax and enjoy life ...... before it begins again. The old year is over, though, dead ...... except in the memories of those who experienced it. 134 Nl .4 YV vllljjgig, ,K lie' qi 'lf' 'J' ki- E it . rw .V fr- - All ---'UW ! ,L U, , ' A tri, il'l , CONFEDERAQC HERO, SAM JA VIS 5? f G R D U T I 0 A N 59.1.1 I ,E ,fl-W---QQ-i., fy --'. 5? is-my 0 0 0 X , ,as f'- -7 rd ,J A 42L,AJ 'W V if-Q-fig I 'il!1 :'V TT' ' T' 'l' L'3'5 ! if T ' Q 9 , - r fi.Q.eej fV'fl ' 'Q-Q' :I i Y!
