Then he stopped in amazement, for before him was a field of stone spotted with huge mountains of rock formed in simple geometric figures. Suddenly there was a loud clanging. Startled, the alien glanced around trying to determine where the noise had come from. At that moment several doors opened in the monolothic heaps of stone, and hundreds of small, strange creatures begem running in and out of these doors, their faces expressionless. The alien attempted to stop a few of these weird creatures, but they rushed by; then another bell rang and the last of the creatures disappeared through the doorways. The alien, uncertain as to what to do, hesitated and then walked fearfully up to one of the doors, slowly pulled it open, and peered in. Stretching out before him to curve away out of sight was a long hallway, its walls covered with little doors. The alien went carefully up to one of the doors and pulled on the handle, but the door refused to open. The alien frowned slightly; then he pulled out a ray gun and fired at the door, completely obliterating it. Out of a small continued on page 8 V 7

Think of it as a conversation piece. Next time somebody asks you how you like King, say: ‘‘Oh, it’s pretty fun. The outside appearance isn’t exactly fascinating, but the staff is great, they have super elective possibilities, and very good gym equipment. “There’s something fishy goint on, isn’t there?” “Please not now, I’m right in the middle of a Rothschild!” “Does anyone know how to start this mach- ine?” “Oh no, not more homework!” compartment behind the door fell what seemed to be hundreds of small rectangular things and a brown, shapeless, paper form. The alien looked at these for a moment in puzzlement and then went on to the next door and treated it the same way. The same results. Were these storage chambers? The alien scratched his head, perplexed by this strange place. As he continued on down the hallway, he noticed that at even intervals there were larger doors. He crept silently up to one of these and tried to see in through the many windows in the door. The glass in the windows was of a strange texture, making everything fuzzy, but the alien managed to make out a tall thin figure gesturing with what had to be hands, as they were positioned at the end of his her its arms, although they had many fewer fingers than the alien’s. The alien, taking this for a war dance, threw open the door and leapt in, waving his sword above his head and shaking his ray gun in a menacing gesture.
