Principal ' s Message Because I believe in you, I dedicate this message to the teachers at Martin Luther King Junior High School. Because I believe that the student body will read this message, I commend you, the teachers, for your commitment to the youth of this school. You have taken the leadership role in our community to provide a relevant educa- tion for our students, and, to a man, have innovated, implemented, and endured the challanges of desegregation, integration, heterogeneity, flexibility, and confronta- tion. It is important that students and parents stop and assess this nitty-gritty commitment . To be satisfied with our efforts or the accomplishments of our students is a step backward; to be lulled into complacency is not your direction; to continue to have high expectations of our student body academically and socially is your creed. May I, at this time, join with the stu- dent body and community in expressing my confidence in your ability, and in express- ing our appreciation for your continuing effort .
