A TRIBUTE TO MR. RICHTER K 'T' ' T tt TTiE'?5:7?35.t5f? ,..Wf:5'X 'W f' 32552521 'Y 1 .1 5 .fx-W r T cs-2, its . 1 is-R R K? God has richly blessed me here at Martin Luther High School in many ways. lt's often related how students are inspired by teachers. I have been inspired by students - who, through their faith, their dilligence to their taslss, their loyalty to their school and, most of all, to their Lord, have helped me grow closer to them and to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God is moving me on, but a very special part of me will always be here at Martin Luther. God bless you all and lseep you in his molding hands throughout your lives, Stay soft and pliable, allowing God to shape you into His vessels. l love you all, as He does. Ted Richter Mr, Ted Richter is an original. Not only is he one of Martin Luther's first teachers, he is also a unique person. ln 1968, Mr. Richter started the Art department at Martin Luther and made it what it is today. Mr. Richter has been involved in just about everything at Martin Luther at one time or another. Some of his greater accomplishments are: assistant coaching of football and tracls, coaching of wrestling, man- aging the publicity for the different events at Martin Luther, and helping to plan, decorate, and supervise school dances. One of Mr. Richter's favorite hobbies is worlsing with his pottery. At home, he has a worlsroom with a kiln and potter's wheel, He's combined his love for pottery and his love for God into an interesting presentation in which he can witness to others. He is the president of the congrega- tion at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church. He also teaches Sunday School there. He is very willing to help others. Mr. 164 Tribute Richter is lsnown for always being there to help his fellow- man. Mr. Richter is devoted to his wife Cecilia CCeciD and their two sons Matthew C125 and John MOD. His wife is a teacher in the Greendale public schools. They both enjoy doing many things with their children as a family. They are all very strong in the Lord. Mr. Richter holds a strong rapport with the faculty and students here at Martin Luther. The teachers will always remember getting together on M.L.'s birthday Calso Mr. Richter's birthday? and writing songs. One of the most popular was Johnson's Boys. Mr. Richter is lsnown to the faculty as the Hammer for his tough rebounding in the faculty basketball games. He's a very athletic and physically strong man, yet personally, artistical- ly, and spiritually he is very gentle. Mr, Richter is a very special person and will be greatly missed as he is moving to St. Louis in order to enter the seminary.
