Many Students Honored Un Awards Night I J... .f- Two Seniors and twenty-four Juniors were admitted into the National Honor Society this year. Badger Boys State was awarded to Tim Gieschen, and Kathy Krub sack will go to Badger Girls State. The 1977 Valedictorian and Salutatorian are Gwen Koeller and Janet I-Iughs respectively. Awards from the Society of Women Eng- ineers went to Janet Hughs, Jodi Joiner, and Gretchen Sonstroern. The American Chemical Society gave awards to Jodi Joiner and Tim Prueser. Bev Bruss and Barb Watson received awards from the Am- erican Society of Women Accountants, Christian Citizenship 8 Service Awards were given to Katie Povlick and Bob Weil. 148 Awards Service

Juniors Engineer A Carload Of Pun All aboard!! That was the call given on May 14 to all the couples who took a Sentimen- tal Journey through ML's halls. At the end of the track, a con- ductor led the couples into the station for an evening of fun. Many thanks go to Mr. S Mrs. Fuss for the props that added to the atmosphere. The couples were enter- tained with music by The Ver- sitiles. Many attended Post Prom at the Red Carpet for food and more dancing. Sunday fol- lowed with rainy picnics at various parks. Prom 147

Athletes Get Their Just Desserts!! Swv 9 1 . ut, On May 27, the Martin Luther athletes, parents, and friends en- joyed dinner and listened to sever- al speakers talk about the accom- plishments made in the 76-77 ath- letic school year. Awards were pre sented to the most valuable and the most improved players from each team. The outstanding ath- letes this year are Donna Stein- brenner, Debbie Schaeffer, Dave Monreal, and Darrell Doepke. Athletic Banquet 149
