No other society has ever demanded so much from its educational system as have we Americans and none was ever served so well by its schools Some schools stress the three R's some lean toward academic achievement some toward vocational compe of the earth Regardless of the particular emphasis of a specific school our common most urgent concern is to provide the environment and stimulus for the growth and de velopment of citizens who know how and have the desire to perpetuate our democratic way of life Respectfully D R, WERTZ tency, while others emphasize a wholesome social relationship among the inhabitants
