A Stroll Around Martin High School On the first sunny day in March We set out on a stroll to enjoy the sunshine and the little patches of green clover in the grass and the cool breeze of mid- morning. We-Heinz Bauer, Connie Bray, Alberto Garza, and Elvia Negrete-left the main building and walked to- ward Park Street, so as to get a better view of mighty Martin High and then around to the auditorium en- trance. The lofty palms on our campus make it look very tropical. How many times I've Walked in this entrance to attend a basketball game-the smell of pop corn, the sound of leather tapping the floor, and the roar of the Tiger rootersl Auditorium Entrance

Vocational Walking over to the Vocational Building, we End the door locked, as it is now lunch time. This orna- mental iron grill was made by the students, many of whom have gone on to earn a good living with their skills acquired in this building, pictured below in a summer setting. Now you can see, as we walk past this building, the Rio Grande ash trees are just beginning to put on their iirst green.
