MR. ELMO LOW BEGINS SIXTH YEAR AS HEAD OF M. H. S. We shall always remember Mr. Low for his loyalty to Martin High. Through his friendship and guidance many a student has passed into the world a wiser man. Our principal is a cowboy from Hardin-Simmons, where he received his B.A. degree. He did post-graduate work at Texas Tech and then taught school at Mason, Texas. After leaving Mason, he became principal at Sanderson, Texas. When he be- came band director here, the band won many honors. Mr. Low became principal of Martin High School in the summer of 1948 after the death of Mr. Lawrence Da Camara.
