She attended Brackenridge High School, and after graduation she entered Our Lady oi the Lake Col- lege, where she received a B.S. degree in Physical Education. She started her teaching career at Mac- Donnell, where she taught for one year. She then was transferred to Christen, and after four years she became physical education instructor at Martin High School. During the war she acted as program aid at the U. S. O. She sponsors the Pep Squad, Cheerleaders. Student Council, and is the chairman of the Iunior-Senior Prom. She belongs to the Delta Kappa Gamma. We dedicate our 1949 edition of La Pitaha'ya to Miss Ruth Young for her invaluable service to the school.
