We have compared our faculty to the DIRECTORS, our seniors to STARS. our favorites to ACADEMY AWARD WINNERS, our athletes to par- ticipants in THE WORLD OF SPORTS. Someday you will open this book and feel that it brings you an escape into the world of Used-to-Be -a world when you were young, slender. and beautiful, when Time had not drawn his inevitable lines on your countenance. We have recorded your life and activi- ties in the year 1947. We hope that in the future when you compare that which you have attained to what used to be, it will give you a feeling of pride and satis- faction. in MARTIN HIGH SCI-ICDGL Y -. fur. D K. I .
