p MR. J. W. NIXON, Principal Mr. Nixon was reared in West Texas. He was edu- cated at Allen Academy, Sul Ross State Teacher ' s College, and the University of Texas from which he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. Coming to Laredo in 1929, as supervisor of physical edu- cation in the grades, he became principal of L. J. Christen Junior High School. In the summer of 1941 he was appointed principal of Martin High School. Owning a ranch near Laredo, Mr. Nixon raises registered cattle. His hobby is deer hunting. Vitally interested in athletics and youth building, Mr. Nixon enjoys being of service to the community.
