Went to Ward- Belmont and back to Weatherford lunior College. Took degree in Speech at Texas State College for Women. Spent one summer in Europe. Taught private classes in Speech. f0l77Z1 Because he has done his best to promote an interest in good clean football, and because ot his five years ot fine work as Tiger coach and boys' friend which have brought him the admiration of every student and the love of every member of the team, we dedicate this 1943 La Pitahaya to Mr. Iohn C. Green. Born in Valentine, Texas, on Oct. 5, 1912, Iohn Green moved to Sanderson Where he grew up and finished high school. Then he went to Schreiner Institute and to New Mexico A. 61 M., worked for two years, then Went back to college at Sul Ross State Teachers College. He took his B.S. degree, majoring in physical education, in 1936. He was outstanding in athletics in all colleges he attended, so when he came to Laredo in 1935 he became director of athletics first in Christen School, and two years later at Martin High.
