On these pages We have tried to show how all the students of Martin High School help in the war effort-everything from collecting scrap iron, buying War stamps, and such insignificant sacrifices as to going to dances on buses, walking long blocks to school, and being glad we have a school to Walk tp-a school as beautiful as Mar- tin High. We have lent some of our beloved teachers to the Army-Prof. de la Garza, Mrs. Barry, Mr. Vela, and Mr. Morlan, and we have not complained, just as Martin High herself is giving her sons whom she has disciplined and nurtured in body and in mind, to the cause of our democratic Way of life. Martin High School is proud of her good soldiers already in the field and of those being prepared for the future rank, and we pray for a safe return as we pray for the final victory.
