UPPER GRADES The upper grade Y C L has been very active this year The progect for the year is filling Red Cross boxes to be sent overseas Dues and selling pop and candy at basketball games have been the source of income with which the Y C L sponsored a Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine party We purchased an electric clock for our room and contributed to the arch of Dimes We enjoyed participating in the grade school Christmas operetta, nShe Didn't Believe INTERM DIATE GRADES The intermediate grades organized a Y C L club at the beginning of the school year which meets twice a month This club has t ken charge of arrangements and entertainment for our Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine parties For Thanksgiving, we had a short program in our room All of us took part in the Christmas operetta, nShe Didn't Believe, which was presented to the public the evening of December 21, 1950 held at McClusky, on April 5th PRIMARY GRADES The entertainment for the primary room for the year of 1950 and 1951 are as follows Our first party that we had was a Halloween party, with about twelve visitors We had a tree and exchanged gifts for our Christmas party Ten young sters attended thls party On February 14, we had our Valentine party We decorated a Valentine box, exchanged Valentines, and played games There were twelve visitors that attended this party LYCEUM PROGRAM 1950 51 The Lyceum programs for the school year, 1950 51, were as follows The first number was presented by Otto C Dallman, a sculptor Dallman sculptored the head of an old gossiplng woman and of Abraham Lincoln. On November 21, the school was privileged to see Thomas Magrum, a magician He did many sleight of hand performances Our third Lyceum brought George Esslinger and his dogs He told of experiences with his dogs in World War II March 13, we heard J Phillips Robertson, a notable singer Our last number was given April 5th by Starry, who gave an interesting lecture of the West Indies These Lyceum programs proved to be both educational and entertaining.
